Biography: Marjorie Welsh Dole graduated from Antioch College in 1946, and was accepted as a summer student at The Jackson Lab with Dr. Francisco Duran-Reynolds as her mentor. She received her M.S. from Ohio State and worked as a research microbiologist for many years. For sixteen tears she was director of clinical microbiology laboratory at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia.

Scope and Content: “Recollections of the Summer of 1946. - The Jackson Laboratory” 60 photographs of people and scenery, with some narrative and identification labels. Individuals identified: Irving Berkowitz, Jan Campbell, Bob Fishman, Claire(Pud) Fulcher, Gus Goodwin, Ed Huth, Bunny Logan, Flora Kaplan, Al Margolis, Ann McBride, Mickey McLaughlin, Sandy Miner, Betty Rice, Ted Stippel, Eleanor Smith,  reprint of Dr. Francisco Duran-Reynolds. There is a brief summary of the accomplishments of some of the individuals in the group.
