Christina Vallianatos, Ph.D., is a Genomics Educator at the Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine in Farmington, CT. During her Ph.D. in Human Genetics from the University of Michigan, she implemented several STEM outreach and education programs for a wide range of learners. Most notably, she founded the Michigan DNA Day statewide outreach program that connects scientist with classrooms across the state of Michigan. Her role as a genetics education specialist at JAX focuses on the design, development, and implementation of courses in genomics, genetics, and computational techniques. She joined The Jackson Laboratory in 2019, bringing her passion for science outreach and engagement.
